Foster a dog, Save a life

Fostering is taking a dog into your home and caring for it until it finds the perfect forever home. We work with you to get the dog medically treated and ready for adoption, which could mean getting it's vaccines, having it spayed or neutered and/or addressing other medical needs. Of course, we pay for all of this. If needed, we will also help get the dog to/from appointments, but we will ask that you help too if able.

Fosters for us take huskies into their loving homes and give them a safe place to stay. The dog is treated like family. As a foster, you get to enjoy a furry friend while waiting for them to be adopted. If you take in a dog that might be just too much or not getting along with your current dog, we will try to move them quickly but cannot guarantee same-day removal. If you fall in love with your foster, you can adopt them. Have you considered adopting? I AGREE to immediately surrender custody of the foster dog to a Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky representative upon demand. I also agree that, as a foster, I have no legal ownership and will not retain any legal rights to the rescue dog in my care.

I AGREE to notify the rescue immediately about any medical or behavioral concerns regarding the foster and that HHSHR will bear the financial responsibility for any necessary veterinary care of the foster they have placed in my home, as long as the rescue has given approval.

I AGREE to release Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue, and any volunteers acting as an agent of HHSHR, from any and all liability in association with any illness of the dog or any damage or injury caused by the dog while in my/our possession. I AGREE, and it is understood, that a representative of the rescue group may examine and make inquiry about the foster dog(s) at any time. If not satisfied with the condition of the dog or the conditions in which it is being kept, that the dog can be removed and placed in a different home.

This includes any instance where a former HHSHR dog is surrendered to me. I further acknowledge that in such a case, the surrendered dog is automatically property of Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue and that I have no legal claim to the dog.
